Creditors Clerk – Masa Square Hotel

Job Title              Creditors Clerk

Reports to         Finance Manager

Job Type            Permanent

• Preparation of invoking return. Invoices signed and stamped for acceptance
• Match up invoices with purchase orders, check prices and quantities received, extensions checked
• Balance stock purchases to General ledger and reconcile. Check outstanding orders with stores records
• Attend selected stock takes as assigned by Finance Manager
• Reconcile creditor’s statements before issuing cheques for the same month.
• Clear reconciling balancing before the relevant month end
• Write out creditor s cheques and balance to be detailed open payable listing and trade creditors control account.
• Advise Finance Manager of invoices rejected in pastel or not for same month before processing them
• Maintain files of creditors invoices, reconciliations and quenes
• Ensure all discounts agree upon are reconciled
• Mail out creditors cheque/drafts
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• A minimum of B com Degree in Accounting or related qualification.
• A minimum of 2 years corporate Accounting Experience
• Must be proficient m Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
