FINANCIAL RISK AND COMPLIANCE MANAGER

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

To hand an independent risk over-sight department that defines and implements a framework to approve, monitor and report of financial risks and exposure arising from business activities according to set principles

• The candidate should be able to identify, document and monitor key risk indicators. This involves development of a framework for process improvement that is setting up processes that will ensure coherent process within the department
• To oversee departmental activities and coordinate with other business units so as to achieve the company’s mission, vision, objectives and core values.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required by management, and submit statutory reports to Regulators.
• To ensure that issues of ethics and compliance are adhered to.
• Examining the clients’s credit-related information and determine the financial risk involved.
• To determine the default risk

^ To formulate sound risk policies for the company

• Work with Financial Officer to implement sound internal control systems to minimize risks
• Maintain risk registers

QUALIFICATIONS. SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

• Holder of a University Degree in Risk Management and/or Finance. A qualification in the related discipline will be an added advantage

^ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Must have integrity and a high sense of ethical responsibility
• Should be results-oriented. good team player with self-drive and good interpersonal and communication skills
• Candidate should demonstrate a good understanding of key financial regulation guiding the non-bank financial sector
• At least 5 years practical experience finance, risk management and marketing
