ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT wanted at Express Credit

Your duties:

Process approved loans for payment, reviewing details of loan and ensuring accuracy on loading them into the banking platform
Ensuring that the cash flow position of the company is sufficient to sustain daily and weekly operations
Effective management of the bank accounts and related transactions
Raise supplier payment batches on due dates
Prepare purchase orders for approval by line managers, get them signed by finance then send to supplier for execution
All filling for all invoices both paid and pending
Assist credit department to respond to client loan application and stage of approval/rejection
Raise agent commission in the bank and verify workings
Daily report on the previous loan disbursement both from head office bank and all branches cash disbursement to be compiled and filed
GL ownership – ensuring that transactions of the GL are classified appropriately.
Support the monthly management accounts preparation and analysis
Assisting and ensuring compliance with tax policies (VAT, PAYE, corporate and other taxes)
Regulatory compliance
Actively participate in the external and internal audit processes
Perform any other related duties as required from time to time

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance and related fields
Studying towards professional qualification, ACCA, CIMA,BICA
Member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of Accounting and finance, principles regarding income, expenses, assets and liabilities
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
Planning and organizing skills
Attention to detail and Self-discipline
Proficiency in excel and knowledge of Pastel,
Ensure compliance to BICA professional continuous development requirements
