Tourism Services Executive (Officer) wanted at SPEDU

Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in the coordination, facilitation and management of key SPEDU hospitality and tourism business projects and sites in the Region and ensuring that they are well managed. The position is also responsible for assisting in the coordination of annual tourism- related events in the SPEDU Region.

Main Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include among others; (1) assisting in the development of the tourism and hospitality development projects; (2) assisting in the development of key tourism and hospitality Master Plans for identified tourism sites; (3) assisting in the facilitation and coordination of the leasing of all tourism and hospitality sites in the region; (4) assisting in the facilitation of servicing of the approved tourism sites. (5) liaising with key relevant stakeholders in the development of tourism and hospitality projects, and (6) consulting with various stakeholders j in areas where tourism and hospitality activities and/or projects have been identified.

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

A Bachelors’ Degree in Tourism. Hospitality Management or any other related discipline. A minimum
of three (3) years post qualification experience.

The successful candidate should have excellent
planning and organising skills, entrepreneurial thinking; analytic skills and decision making

The candidate should also possess the ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form: and be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with local business leaders, public officials, community leaders, and the general public.
