Factory Shift Engineer

The applicant should have a Degree/Diploma in Plastic Technology/Processing with a minimum of 10 years post qualification working experience in PVC Pipe Production.

The job entails monitoring the production of PVC pipe manufacturing process, as well as the production of UPVC, MPVC and other SANS Approved PVC Pipes up to 500 mm Diameter; production manpower handling, production report, production Target, Shift arrange shift duty, knowledge of Plastic Materials, provide basic engineering support for machine maintenance.

Provides training and guidance to team members to accomplish production goals. Develop best practices to improve production capacity, quality and reliability. Investigate problems, analyze root causes and derive resolutions.

The candidate should be used to extruders and belling machines, solving troubleshooting problems and the candidate must be willing to work in shifts and take up additional responsibilities to tackle the minor maintenance requirements.
