SALARY: C4/3 (P80.172 Pt 18.716) per annum

BENEFITS: (a) Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50% Employee 50%) (b) Contributory Pension (Government contributes 15% and employ contributes 5% of salary)

LEAVE: 25 working days per annum

QUALIFICATIONS: Certificate/Diploma in Primary Education. General Nursing.

Theology or Social work or equivalent

EXPERIENCE A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in the related area.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To organize and maintain an orderly residence and welfare of health students.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

1. Takes appropriate action in cases of sickness among students notifying the Coordinator/Principal of cases which require medical attention.
2. Allocates rooms as assigned and supervises the cleaning of student’s dormitories and grounds.
3. Issues and maintains the furniture to students
4. Issues and arranges for cleaning of soled linen and mending if necessary.
5. Draws work schedules assigns and coordinates duties to supervisees.
6. Makes regular inspection of student’s rooms in order to monitor the cleanliness of hostels
7. Takes hostel’s rounds as and when needed.
8. Initiates disciplinary action among students and supervisees.
9. Attends disciplinary hearings when they arise.
10. Keeps records of hostel inventory, reports shortages and damages to supplies officer.
11. Monitor serving of meals to students
12. Collaborates with the Catering Officer in monitoring and supervising students and ensuring adequate rationing of meals
13. Gives advice and counselling to students seeking help
