REQUIREMENTS: Keitsemang Publications seeks an organised, passionate publicist to join our team and manage campaigns across our varied list, from commercial and literary fiction to memoir to romance and lifestyle titles. The Publicist will manage all aspects of multi-town author tours and interact with authors, media, editors and event coordinators.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Securing national media for paperback titles.
• Independently planning and executing author tours, including local book events, media interviews and author travel.
• Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with editors, book reviewers, event coordinators and booksellers.
• Communicating and building partnerships with authors.
• Creating persuasive press materials, including press releases, pitch letters, author Q&A’s, and story ideas.
• Collaborating with the editorial, marketing and sales teams on campaign execution.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required; must be able to communicate with authors with professionalism, authority and credibility.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and remain cool under pressure.
• Great media contacts and creative approach to pitching.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND REQUIRED
Currently in college or recent graduate
