Bookkeeper

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to work with our growing Company in Gaborone.

Qualifications include:

Degree in Accounting or Equivalent

-Minimum of 4 years bookkeeping experience in Pastel Evolution will be an added advantage

-Ability to reconcile Balance Sheet transactions against transactions entered in Evolution

-Excellent written and oral communication skills

-Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

– Must be accurate, efficient, possess a keen attention to detail and be punctual, dependable and honest.

Main responsibilities include bookkeeping functions for the Company:

DAILY

1.Process cash book and prepared Bank Reconciliation

2.Prepare supplier payments for approval

3.Analyses GP’s daily

4.Manage the daily processing of

1.Supplier invoices

2.Debtor invoices

5.Performs the functions of Debtors / Creditors where there is no person employed in that function.

MONTHLY

1.Prepare VAT calculation and return

2.Reconcile the Payroll returns which have been prepared and submitted by payroll (Social Security, PAYE, etc)

3.Prepare month end journals (depreciation, provisions, accrual)

4.Preparation of Monthly management accounts pack
