JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, your main purpose will be to carry out internal audit assignments in accordance with internal audit plan and auditing standards and procedures; to identify weaknesses in internal controls and make recommendations to ensure to enhance efficiency, reduce potential risks and protects the assets of the Authority. The key performance areas of the incumbent shall be; Compliance with internal audit standards and procedures; completions and adequacy of internal audits in accordance with deadlines; Acceptance of internal audit recommendations by management; reduction in external audit queries in the areas audited.

REQUIREMENTS

You will need to possess a Degree in Accounting /Finance, majoring in Auditing or equivalent qualification with a three (3) years’ experience in auditing in fast-passed environments; a thorough knowledge of computerised accounting systems and parastatal sector auditing and business processes. A professional qualification of ACCA or CIMA membership of BICA is a requirement.

COMAPANY

The Botswana Medicines Regulatory Authority (BoMRA) is a body that was established through the Medicines and Related Substances Act of 2013, to regulate the supply chain of Human and Veterinary medicines, Medical devices and Cosmetics. The Authority is looking for professionals to join their growing team to drive and implement regulatory inspection and licensing systems for compliance to the Medicines and Related Substances Act.
