AUTO ELECTRICIAN – OUTPUTS wanted at Barloworld Equipment

Barloworld Equipment is a wholly owned subsidiary of Barloworld Equipment Southern Africa, it is the sole dealership of Caterpillar earthmoving equipment in Southern Africa. We also distribute Hyster equipment and caterpillar power generators. Barloworld Equipment invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Auto Electrician tenable in Orapa.

POSITION: AUTO ELECTRICIAN – OUTPUTS

• Responsible for repairs, maintenance and trouble shooting of earthmoving equipment electrical systems.
• Advise customers and operators on the correct use of earthmoving electrical systems.
• Advise customers and operators on the correct use of Caterpillar machinery
• Communicate job status to internal customers and supervisors
• Assist with artisan and Learner development through on-line training.

REQUIREMENTS

• National Craft Certificate in Auto- Electrician or equivalent.
• Sound technical knowledge of equipment electrical systems.
• Diagnostics ability.
• 5 years post qualification experience on Caterpillar machines (Experience on Caterpillar 789D’s is an added advantage)
• Must be familiar with Caterpillar software and tools i.e ET, VIMS, SIS, etc.
• Must be able to work accurately and diligently to ensure quality repairs to machines.
• Sound verbal communication skills (discuss and explain repairs to customers)
• Ability to follow instructions and cope with job demands.
