Coordinates interaction with local authorities, establish consultative forums with other stakeholders on rural electrification programs, initiates load research in identified areas and proposes village electrification and network extensions.
Initiates dialogue with potential customers and participates in Districts, Kgotla and villages development committees to encourage them to embark on development of power related projects
Proactively markets the availability of energy in order to encourage connections.
Develops marketing and public education programmes to promote the safe and cost effective utilisation of energy for both grid and off-grid supplies.
Liaises with Project Engineers to address and resolve community related queries
Rural Electrification Planning
Prepares integrated grid and non-grid rural electrification plans for equitable electrification of Botswana’s rural areas
Prepares project memoranda for approval to support rural electrification plans and priorities including financial rates of return and social benefit analysis.
Contract Management
Delivers required outcomes by managing day-to-day relationships with contract service providers and working within an established budget and contract management plan
Project Management
Delivers own small-scale or medium-scale projects by working within an established program management plan.
Data Collection & Analysis
Analyses key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business.
Compiles ad-hoc and periodic reports
Budgeting & Costing
Takes responsibility for delivering a prescribed budget for own area of the organization and/or conducts complex analyses on budget progress in other areas while working within established systems.
