OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

A qualification in advanced coal preparation

10 years’ experience in open pit Mining

Good experience in Mining Operations, Maintenance management, SHEQ, contracts, logistics supply and HR Management

A proven track record of delivery with major clients

Experience in managing diverse cultures of people

Key Performance Areas

Successfully plan, direct and manage all aspects of large Drilling, Blasting Loading and Hauling and Material handling projects in a place that is safe and free from risk to health

Profitable, timely and cost effective completion of the project

Provide the project with appropriate people, equipment, procedures and processes to enable the projects to succeed

Monitor and update project plans, budgets, programs and resource requirements

Ensure appropriate action is taken to mitigate program delay

Manage the relationship with the clients and key stakeholders

Promote a performance driven culture

Promote the identification, recruitment, training and development of highly skilled local staff

Exposure to mine management from start-up to completion.
