VACANCY: Analytical Chemist

Reporting to Senior Chemist, the Analytical Chemist will undertake laboratory testing of chemical properties of water, rocks, soils, ores, minerals and other geological materials using suitable testing procedures. The Analytical Chemist will implement and maintain the requirements of ISO 17025 when performing his/her duties on a daily basis.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a laboratory using equipment such as Ion Chromatography (1C). X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer (XRF), Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer/ Mass Spectrometer (ICP-OES or ICP-MS) and other small instruments such as pH meter, auto titrator
• Demonstrate the ability to apply Chemistry knowledge or principles in Geoscience research or projects
