SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Qualified and experienced candidate, 10 -15 years of hands-on experience with a National Diploma in Civil Engineering majoring in Quantity Surveying or equivalent. The applicant should be registered with ERB and IBQS (Institute of Botswana Quantity Surveyors).

Key roles

• preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the client;
• undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
• assisting in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
• performing risk and value management and cost control;
• advising on procurement strategy;
• identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;
• preparing and analysing costings for tenders;
• allocating work to subcontractors;
• providing advice on contractual claims;
• analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
• valuing completed work and arranging payments

Skills/Requirements

• Must have sound management skills and work ethics.
• Accurate monthly forecasting.
• Ability to challenge resources and costs.
• Maintaining deadlines in line with monthly commercial calendar.
• Ensure robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit level.
• Ensure accurate cash flow reporting takes place.
