Consultant- HTS Site Coordinator – International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH)

The International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH), based in Seattle at the University of Washington, was established In 2002 by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in collaboration with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Global AIDS Program (CDC-GAP). I-TECH undertakes activities that increase human and systems capacity for provision of HIV/AIDS clinical care and support. I-TECH works in Botswana in partnership with CDC-GAP and the Ministry of Health (MOH) to Improve the capacity of healthcare workers to address the challenges of care and treatment of HIV and related illnesses.

Consultant- HTS Site Coordinator

Scope of Work

I-TECH HTS Site Coordinators will coordinate activities taking place in a cluster of facilities consisting of hospitals and clinics to ensure organisational HIV testing targets are met. This is done through Direct Service Delivery and Technical Assistance models, with frequent (CQI) continuous quality improvement visits to improve testing uptake.

Deliverables

• Support HTC consultants in the clusters by ensuring daily/weekly testing and case identification targets are met
• Implement Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives as per program requirements.
• Institute same day linkage to care of all clients identified and ensure 100% linkage/registration for treatment of the

identified HIV positive clients

• Facilitate Partner Notification services on daily basis.
• Support HIV testing at facilities and provide guidance on strategies to target men, youth and key populations In your

supported facilities

• Check daily and weekly testing reports.
• Keep track of stock/consumables on a weekly basis.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications are:

• Diploma in nursing, social work, or health-related field with over 5 years of relevant work experience that includes work with HIV testing and counselling.

• Expenence with quality improvement processes at public health facilities, training, and M&E.
• Strong computer skills and an ability to facilitate communication.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a citizen of Botswana.
