Projects Manager (12 Months Contract) – MRI Botswana Limited

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop end-to-end project management plans and full scale project plans and associated reporting templates and communication strategies
• Document project scope, goals and deliverables that support the organisations’s goals in collaboration with senior management and all other stakeholders
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to project team members and liaise with all stakeholders on an ongoing basis
• Estimate resource requirements needed to achieve project goals
• Tightly manage project budgets and recommend budget changes where necessary
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team(s)
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate project management tools
• Develop and deliver progress reports and presentations to Executive Management and the Project Steering Committee
• Proactively manage changes in the project scope and seek necessary approvals for such changes
• Identify potential crises and devise mitigating strategies and contingency plans
• Assist Management in the change management process associated with the projects
• Conduct project closure workshops and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

• A business, finance, economics, ICT or strategy related Bachelor’s degree
• Accredited Project Management qualification (PRINCE II, PMBOK etc.) is required
• A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in project management
• Experience of managing activity across the whole of a project lifecycle, using current technology, structured methods and a quality processes
• Experience in utilising project management tools and methods
• Exposure to governance, control and risk management
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across business units to deliver best for business outcomes
• High-level capability to plan and schedule work to adapt to changing circumstances and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines and time constraints
• Innovative and strategic thinker with good business and financial acumen
• Proven ability to effectively work with teams at all levels
• Attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Excellent project management and reporting skills.
