JOB ADVERT – TECHNICIAN – KOMATSU MINING

JOB SUMMARY: To provide technical support to the customers for acceptance of KAC manufactured machines sold to customers in an assigned territory while ensuring KACs servicing agent and Komatsu subsidiary) is able to meet each of the performance-related and support provisions expected

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirements of NCC (or equivalent recognised qualification) in Auto Electrical/Electrical Technician Must be computer literate

EXPERIENCE:

10 years’ experience in the mining industry with sound technical experience of JGA surface mining equipment

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

Mines. Quarries. Works and Machinery Act and Regulations. Computer literacy with MS Excel (Intermediate) plus SAP Komatsu R&M Care and Komtrax will be an advantage. Valid Drivers’ License

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

• Good communication skills
• Professional, self-driven and self-motivated individual SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
• Maintain safety standards as required by Komatsu Mining and Debswana Orapa mine
• perform documented, planned inspections of JGA equipment
• Compile comprehensive overhaul scope of work and parts list
• All Inspections reports and SOW’s to be documented and record maintained
• Perform after hours standby and attend to call outs when required
• Assist projects department with machine overhaul project plan
