Main Duties & Responsibilities

Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out of stock
Assist purchasing officer place orders to replenish items as needed
Track shipments and address any delays
Oversee storage of product, particularly of fragile items
Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals
Coordinate regular inventory audits
Ensure that purchases do not exceed budget
Work in conjunction with all Heads of Department to ensure maximum profitability
Maintain vendor and service provider relationships
Remain acutely aware of market trends that could impact resource costs
Analyse invoices to ensure correct products /services were received at the expected cost.
Collaborate with Heads of Department to strategize ways to minimize waste
Commit to maximizing efficiency at all levels without compromising quality
Managing of Stock takes
Co-ordinate the development of standard purchase specifications for various items
Monitor the adherence to Company policies and regulations with regards to purchasing
Secure competitive price quotations for all purchases
Monitoring of Stock Variances with Heads of Department
Monitor food and beverage stocks, storeroom security and storage conditions. Ensure the discrepancies arise out of physical verification of stocks properly dealt in the books of accounts on a regular basis
Oversee and direct the purchasing/procurement team

Required Qualification & Experience

2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
Proficient in Excel (especially in pivot table and vlookups)
Outstanding organisational and time management abilities
String Ethics and reliability
Diploma /Degree from a reputable institute preferred
Hospitality experience advantageous
Any inventory management, accounting, purchasing or supply chain qualifications advantageous
