FINANCE MANAGER

The successful candidate will be responsible for accounting, fraud and revenue assurance for the telecom operations and finance scope of the mobile financial services operation. The candidate will report to the Orange Botswana CFO with a dotted line to Orange Money Director. Telecommunications and mobile financial services experience is a pre-requisite.

The main duties include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate and supervise accounting activities of the company.
• Responsible for establishing and implementing accounting internal controls
• Lead, coach and mentor the accounting team.
• Perform controls and ensure consistency, reliability & quality of information
• Publish quality financial statements consistent with IFRS GAP and France Telecom Group guidelines.
• Ensure the quality of the analysis of accounts and review reconciliations.
• Plan and organise month end closing procedures for accounting and the whole finance department: including Group reporting of accounts.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements(tax and regulatory)
• Manage external audit and relationship with auditors.
• Ensure absence of fiscal risk (taxation)-in collaboration with the tax advisor (external firms).
• Optimize the revenue leakage management function.
• Report on Mobile banking operations to the regulator.

• Business acumen and reporting prowess Adaptive, results driven, problem solving leader with exceptional communication skills

Qualifications, experience and skills:

• Accounting degree, and qualified CA/ACCA/CIMA and member of BICA in good standing with minimum 7years’ experience in an accounting and audit environment with 5years post qualif ication experience.
• Expert Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA), Income Tax Act, Transfer pricing regulations, Companies Act and other Botswana acts and regulations relevant to Orange Botswana is a must.
• Having managed large teams and working for a multi-national preferable
