Peak Yamaha is an authorised Yamaha motorcycle dealership in Gaborone with an upmarket showroom and workshop facility providing sales of motorbikes, quads, generators, golf carts, spares and accessories and workshop services. We seek to appoint an energetic, experienced, and motivated individual with traceable references as an;

ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities will include:

• Reconcile trade and other payables/receivables, including follow up of payments
• Liaise with suppliers and debtors
• Manage credit applications
• Accounting audit working papers
• Inventory maintenance
• Review Goods received and returned documents
• Cash and Cashflow management
• Capture and reconcile bank statements
• Account for Forex differences
• Prepare management reports
• Prepare financial statements
• Prepare budgets
• Write relevant journal entries
• Prepare and update leave summaries/schedules
• Keep and update a fixed asset register
• Maintain employee files (review leave schedules, reconcile employee loans)
• Calculate, reconcile and pay salaries as well as related withholding taxes
• Keep record of company statutory documentation
• Reconcile intercompany transactions

Applicant Skill Requirements
• Computer literate with MS Office
• Good communication skills – verbal and written
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Knowledge:
• Accounting background and experience (including taxes, budgeting, and familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting

Normal working hours will be Monday to Friday, 08h00-17h00.
