- oversee national group operations and training to ensure the highest levels ol service delivery, quality, value, efficiency and cost-effective management of resources
- Implementation of the organization’s strategic plan to advance its mission and objectives.
- Promote revenue, profitability and growth
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective management of resources
- Contribute to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices
- Implement and execute support systems to maximize franchisee and franchisor returns across the network of restaurants.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct management of key functional managers in the business: Operations Managers, Franchise Managers and Area Managers, repairs and maintenance officers, fleet managers.
- Management and development of key functional managers via coaching and mentoring, and the application of the group’s performance management tools and principles.
- Coordinate Training Academy activities via Training Manager
- Create and Implement operational calendars and campaigns in order to drive operational standards.
- Assist with new product development, menu costings and planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve on operational efficiencies, systems and workflows.
- Ensure that all capital expenditure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure that all new business opportunities are property evaluated and substantiated.
- Ensure that the business units achieve gross margins and net operating profit margins
- Maintaining operational systems, processes and policies in support of the organization’s mission.
- Monitoring systems, controls, cost of sales and operational expenditure Reviewing management accounts.
- Conducting operational audits and achieving above-average franchisor compliance audit ratings.
- Manage franchisee relations driven by extensive knowledge of QSR and CDR franchising.
- Assisting with ad-hoc IR and HR-related issues
- Ray a significant role in the annual budgeting process and routinely monitors adherence thereto.
- Provides input on marketing planning and activities
Candidates should possess the following skills
- Superior understanding and knowledge of Quick Service Restaurant and Casual Dining restaurant operations and franchising.
- Highly Energetic & positive Individual with strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent people & communication skills
- Able to manage multiple teams, individuals and projects
- Well groomed
- Highly adaptable & driven. Proven record of ability to perform at required levels under pressure
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Above average HR/IR knowledge
- A hands-on approach to restaurant operations and problem solving
- Fanatical attention to detail
- Strong customer service orientation
- Willing to travel.
- Will be required to stay away from home.
- Above average MS office competency.
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements and management accounts.
Background Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience with a multinational food services franchisor in either a General Manager or Operations Manager position essential
- Minimum 2 years experience running multiple restaurant operations.
- Minimum 2 years within an industry related training environment.
- Relevant management certificates issued by a multinational franchising company to attest to having passed through a multinational food services franchising training process
- Traceable references
- Own vehicle, passport and valid drivers’ license essential.
