To plan, organise, coordinate, control and direct technical training to meet the Corporation’s Learning and Development Plans in line with the skills and competency requirements of the business.
Learning and Development
Guides the Business to prepare their short, medium and long term non-technical training plans to meet the Corporation’s training needs and human resource requirements. Coordinates identification of non-technical training needs in conjunction with line managers/ staff and designs training programs suited to the Corporation’s human resource requirements. Coordinates post training evaluation, analyses results and makes recommendations to management to ensure suitability and effectiveness of training. Organises, plans workshops and delivers training on Human Resource Management initiatives. Coordinates induction of new employees. Contributes to the development and implementation of succession plans in line with the Corporation’s success plans policy to create and develop a talent pool.

Policy Development & Implementation
Contributes to the development and implementation of succession plans in line with the Corporation’s success plans policy to create and develop a talent pool. Provides guidance and support on the interpretation and implementation of the training policies and procedures.
Financial
Monitors implementation and compliance of the Corporations training budgets and controls expenditure against authorized training budgets.
Problem Solving
Diagnoses, evaluates and adapts existing methodologies to ensure alignment of corporate capacity building initiatives to best practices
Client & Customer Management (Internal and External)
Supports internal customers to ensure their needs are met and/or helps senior colleagues manage client relationships.
Helps senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using existing systems and protocols.
Improvement / Innovation
Identifies shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, then uses established change management programs to deliver prescribed outcomes and/or provide support services.
Safety, Health and Environment
Delivers own prescribed outcomes and/or provides support services by using the organization’s safety, health and environment systems and protocols.
Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent.
Possession of Train the Trainer Qualification will be an added advantage.
Five (5) years post qualification experience, three (3) years of which should have been in a technical training environment.
