PURPOSE
The role will be a hybrid of a data analyst and a data governance role for the implementation of the BCBS 239 project and any other projects stemming out of the data quality work stream. It will facilitate the implementation of the strategy and business processes required to create, maintain, and enhance data, and be responsible for the daily management of a critical data asset. To provide overall guidance and governance oversight to an allocated data set and actively manages data in order to maximise value, align data to business priorities, continuously improve data quality, reduce cost of data management, and to increase confidence in data and information integrity. The incumbent will holistically oversee BCBS 239 implementation across the credit value chain covering, Retail, Commercial, Wholesale, WesBank as well as Counter Party credit risk.
