Finance and Administration Manager

Our client, an International Diamond Miner of high esteem, has an exciting position for a Finance and Administration Head of Department based in Letlhakane, Botswana.  You will be a driven Finance and Administration Manager with ambition to become a top financial leader in this International Mining company.
The ideal candidate we seek will have a track record as a Finance Manager working currently or previously in either mining or heavy engineering or in complex processing business environments.

Reporting to the General Manager at the mine, the Finance and Administration Manager will be responsible for the daily financial management reporting.  In addition you will be providing management with the financial management information systems to manage the business plus guidelines and advice on matters pertaining to financial statutory requirements and regulations relevant not only to the company, but also with regards to International Reporting Standards, the Companies Act and the related legislation.

Our client mines high class and bespoke diamonds that is well sought after worldwide and it is expanding its mining operations.  This position of Finance and Administration Manager controls a substantial budget and experience in high value complex procurement is key as well as managing all financial aspects of large and complex projects.

One of the exciting prospects of this position is the involvement you will have in the strategy towards full digitalisation and you will be exposed to leading ERP technology and systems integration processes.

This position is also responsible for internal controls on the mine, the management of on-site information technology, internal and external audits, ensuring that all service level agreements and legal contracts are in place and adhered to for outsourced services as well as safeguarding all company commercial and legal documents.
