Job Summary

Reporting to Process Engineer, the Plant Metallurgist is responsible for man­aging technical projects and providing discipline-specific technical and pro­cess assurance advice to ensure that the process plant performs efficiently and effectively to meet production targets. This position is responsible for process optimization, business improvement and technical investigations to ensure operations are within constraints of time, quality and costs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engi­neering or related field.
• Membership of a recognized professional body
• Must have at least 2 years post qualification operational and technical experience in a mineral processing production plant.
• Has sound knowledge of process engineering principles and applica­tion in diamond processing plants.
