Introduction
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the role provides support to the business through provision of a wide array of human capital management services, in line with the talent cycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of talent acquisition for client business units, and must drive the on-boarding of new employees. The person will administer compensation, benefits and rewards linked to performance management and maintain employee relations. The individual will assist in ensuring that the company’s employees are informed of human resources policies and procedures and implement initiatives to promote the company’s employee value proposition.

Duties
The role covers the areas set out below –
– Development and update of human resources policies and procedures, ensuring alignment to the departmental strategy and full compliance by people within the department and organisation, including through internal communication.
– Recruitment and selection of new talent and coordination of employee on-boarding in accordance with set guidelines.
– Collation of performance management data and determination of performance incentives, based on benchmarking of market remuneration practices and in accordance with internal remuneration and reward policies.
-Overall responsibility for compensation and benefits administration, including payroll runs, remuneration surveys, benchmarking of remuneration policies and practices, payroll administration and coordination with the Finance Department, for purposes of reporting on payroll financial reporting.
-Communication of employee benefits such as pension, medical aid, group life assurance and other schemes.
-Maintenance of the integrated human resources management system (IHRS) and liaising with the vendors to ensure that system modules are available at all times, including the employee self-service (ESS).
-Acting as a lead or resource for human resources projects, ensuring compliance with prescribed project management methodology.
-Maintenance of employee relations through provision of advice to line management and employees, regarding conditions of service and employment legislation, while ensuring compliance. Implementing the Code of Conduct and Disciplinary and Grievance procedures, including disciplinary hearings.
-Maintaining human resources dashboard reporting, ensuring that there is monthly submission of human resources analytics, for management decision-making.
-Administering the in-house employee wellness programme, ensuring that employees have full access, and reporting of trends to Management.
-Ensuring that off-boarding at separation is fully compliant with defined processes.
-Regular process review and improvement based on benchmarking against best practice in the industry.
Requirements
Education/Certification
-A degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Social Sciences, Business Studies or equivalent.
Required Experience
-Minimum of five years progressive experience in human capital management.
Required Knowledge and Competencies
-Knowledge of human resources management functions.
-Knowledge and ability to interpret labour laws.
-Understanding of human resource management reporting and analytics.
-Accuracy and attentiveness to detail
-Excellent written and oral communications skills.
-Excellent interpersonal and public relations abilities.
-Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
-Exposure to payroll administration using Sage 300 People.
