Country Manager- Consumer Lending (Banking)

Our client within the banking sector is seeking a Consumer Lending individual with extensive experience as a Senior Manager to fill the position of Country manager of Consumer Lending in Gaborone, Botswana.

Responsibilities:

• To be accountable for the aggregate plan and delivery of systems, operations and the general operating model for Consumer Lending in Botswana
• Plan and implement business strategies, plans and procedures that are in line with local executive and group directives
• Set comprehensive goals for business growth and success as well as be responsible for the delivery of these goals
• Establish policies and procedures that promote company culture and vision
• Oversee daily operations and the work of the Consumer Lending Departments
• Analyse and interpret data and metrics
• Create reports for the executive management, regulators, board presentations and group executives
• Take the lead in expansion activities – plan and implement manageable and measurable growth strategies
• Maintain relationships with partners and vendors

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Must have worked at least 8 years in Senior Management for a Consumer Lending Organization preferably as Head of Consumer Lending
• Master’s in Business Administration or relevant Masters is compulsory
• Must currently be based within the banking sector
• In-depth knowledge of different business functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing etc.
• Hands on experience in fundraising, strategic planning and business development
• Familiarity with IT/Business infrastructure
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Leadership and people management skills
• Great communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
