LABORATORY SAMPLER – MORUPULE COAL MINE

Morupule Coal Mine is a coal mining company in Botswana situated 14 kilometers west of Palapye along Serowe/Palapye Road and mines coal primarily for the generation of electricity in Botswana. The company seeks to invite suitably qualified and experienced citizen candidates for the following position:-

LABORATORY SAMPLER – FIXED TERM CONTRACT

Job Summary:

To obtain samples and prepare them for analyses.

Key Activities:

• Use supplies and equipment in cost effective manner.
  • Utilizes LIMS to schedule, receive and manage sample management workflow.
  • Collects samples and prepares them for different types of analyses as per standard procedure.
  • Conducts verification on sample preparation equipment and reports any abnormalities.
  • Performs test works as per the procedure and capture results on LIMS.
  • Maintains good housekeeping standards in area of responsibility and as directed.
  • Adheres to and promotes safety, health and environmental policies and procedures in area of responsibility.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
• BGCSE

Experience:
• At least 6 months exposure in the Metallurgical lab environment and be computer literate
• Knowledge of SHE Management Systems ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001: 2015
• Knowledge of Laboratory Quality Management System ISO 17025:2017

Technical Knowledge:
• Knowledge on Laboratory Information Management Systems
