The University is looking for a qualified and experienced individual for the below stated position; The position is based at BIUST Campus, Palapye.
Personal Secretary

Main Purpose of the Job
To manage the office through the provision of a full range of secretarial and administrative support services.

Qualifications and Experience
Academic Qualifications
· A minimum of National Diploma in Secretarial Studies (NDSS).
· Degree in Office Management would be an added advantage.

Experience
· At least four years’ experience in a similar role in a university environment or big organisation.

The position requires the following Competencies/Skills
· Good communication (verbal and written).
· Interpersonal, diplomacy, and prioritization skills.
· Excellent computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Research.
· Ability to work under minimum supervision in a fast paced environment with a positive and professional attitude.
· Ability to interact appropriately with a diversity of people including students, academic staff and external stakeholders and visitors.
· Team-oriented with high ethical, personal standards and values.
· Ability to gather data, compile information, compose correspondence, prepare reports, handle multiple tasks with accuracy and meet demanding schedules.
· Must demonstrate a personal commitment to excellence.
· Must be willing to learn new skills as required.
· Must be pro-active and innovative
