FIELD TECHNICAL MANAGER – DRILLING PROJECT SERVICES (PTY) LTD

VACANCY

A reputable supplier of drilling consumables to the mining and exploration drilling industries, DRILLING PROJECT SERVICES (PTY) LTD seeks to urgently employ a FIELD TECHNICAL MANAGER with experience with Drilling Practices, Drilling Tools and Consumables.

The successful candidate must be able to;

• Train local employees in product failure analysis and technical reporting.
• Product support for DTK, Rotary, Top Hammer and HPGPS Navigational equipment
• Conduct Compressor Flow tests using orifice tube volume measuring equipment on Rotary and DTH drill machines and produce technical reports for client management.
• Conduct Pulldown tests on Rotary and DTH drilling machines and produce technical reports for client management.
• Produce 3D technical drawings using Auto Cad software.
• Conduct technical evaluations of all Rotary and DTH drills.
• Conduct product failure analysis on all Rotary, DTH and Top Hammer products and produce technical reports for client management.

Qualifications

To qualify, the applicants must have a minimum of 9 years experience in the Drilling and Mining Industry. The applicant must have a minimum Grade 12 with Maths and Science and have experience with mining computerised navigational systems. The applicant must haw worked for reputable manufacturers of Drilling Equipment and tools in a middle management position for a lengthy time period. Proven track record must be submitted with the application.
