Chief Legal Services Officer wanted at Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana

Main Purpose of the Job

To advise the Authority, Management and staff on legal matters and other ancillary matters from line Directorates, and ensure legislative and regulatory compliance by monitoring and warranting the implementation and enforcement of Aviation laws and regulations; upholds the protection of the rights and interests of the Authority and ensuring compliance with good corporate governance principles and business practices in order to facilitate the achievement of the CAAB vision and mission.

Position Requirements

• A Degree in Law from a recognised University. A post graduate qualification in a legal or Commercial field will be an added advantage.
• Admission to practice as an attorney in the Courts of Botswana is required
• Membership in good standing of the Botswana Law Society is essential
• A minimum of nine (9) years post qualification working experience in a legal department of a reputable large public/private organisation. Familiarity with International Law and Aviation issues is desirable
