SENIOR TRANSPORT OFFICER – (GABORONE) – BOTSWANAPOST

The position reports to Transport & Logistics Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assist in preparations and management of the implementation of the transport and logistics business plan.

* Review requests for vehicles for trips and/or official duties and determine cost effective means of transport (Flight, or road).

* Ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting and surveying current user trends.

* Monitor the SLAs with third party contractors and all internal customers across the postal network.

* Perform needs analysis of all stakeholders, sort centres and post offices to establish their needs and design the matrix according to their desired mail circulations and forwarding lists.

* Enforce mail security standards as per UPU requirements and service expectation.

* Induct newly recruited drivers on the operation and use of Botswana Post vehicles/fleet.

* Supervises, monitor and guide subordinates in accordance with set standards on their daily performance.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Degree in Logistics/Transport/Fleet Management or any related field

EXPERIENCE:

* At least six (6) years relevant work experience, two of which must have been served at Transport Officer level or equivalent
