Choppies Distribution Centre (Pty) Ltd is looking for the following professional;

HEAD OF FRESH FOODS

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the head of fresh foods will be responsible for the entire company’s Fruit & Veg, Butchery, Hot foods and Bakery as one single unit.

Job functions and responsibilities

• Able to handle Fruit & Veg, Butchery, Hot foods and Bakery as one single unit “Fresh.”
• Generate, analyse and submit Management reports monthly.
• Willing to travel extensively both inland and abroad.
• Should be able to do the following functions;
• Procurement
• Product Costing
• Recipe implementation
• Maintenance of hygiene standards
• Sales
• Profitability

Skills/Knowledge/experience

• A certificate in retail on handling of fresh foods will be required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in managing each of the above division separately.
• Should have extensive knowledge of Products, Range, Management systems and Hygiene indicators.
• Valid driving license.
• Supervisory ability.
