1.Talent Management Analyst(Head Office)

 
Requirements
A minimum of a degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources Management or related field. Extensive Knowledge of MS Office suite, Spreadsheets and Management Information Systems (MIS). A minimum of three (3) years of Talent Management experience.

2. Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning Artisan(Morupule)

REQUIREMENTS

A recognized National Craft Certificate (NCC) in Refridgeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent. Must be a Competent Person (within six months for internal candidates and 12 months for external candidates from the commencement of training). A valid Class B Driver’s license (within six months of appointment)

3. Field Operator(Seronga, Matshelagabedi)

REQUIREMENTS

A recognized National Craft Certificate (NCC) in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent. Must be a competent person (within six months for internal candidates and 12 months for external candidates from the commencement of training). A valid Class B Drivers license (within six months of appointment). A minimum of one year post qualification experience in maintenance and operations environment. As well as basic experience of coordinating the work of others.

4. Coal & Ash Plant Operator(Morupule)

REQUIREMENTS

A recognized National Craft Certificate (NCC) in Power Plant Operations or equivalent. Must be a Competent Person (within six months for internal candidates and 12 months for external candidates from the commencement of the training). A valid Class B license (within six months of appointment). A minimum of one year post qualification experience in maintenance and operations environment. As well as basic experience of coordinating the work of others.

5. Area Engineer – Central(Palapye)

REQUIREMENTS

Recognised Degree in Electrical Power Engineering. Membership of a professional engineering institution preferred. Recognised Degree in Business/Commerce or equivalent would be added advantage. Experience: Five (5) years post qualification experience in the power environment is required. Atleast, two (2) years of which will have been in system operations/ maintenance in a power utility industry and one (1) must have been in a customer service position.

6. Section Chemist(Morupule)

REQUIREMENTS

A recognized Degree in Chemistry or equivalent. Professional membership of a recognized institution is required. Additional management qualifications will be an added advantage. At least three years experience, of which one should have been in a supervisory position in Power Plant operations or related area. A minimum of two years experience in supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited time frames.

7. Engineer Network Maintenance(
Maun)

REQUIREMENTS

B. Eng. in Electrical Engineering or related qualification. Should be a standing member of a recognized professional engineering body. At least three (3) years post qualification in a power system operations environment. Attainment of Senior Authorization for operational purposes is a requirement.

8. Artisan Protection(Gaborone)

REQUIREMENTS

BGCSE and National Craft Certificate (Electrical) or equivalent. Driver’s license. Must obtain Senior Authorization within six (6) months for internal candidates and twelve (12) months for external candidates.

9. Assistant Craftsman (Goodhope, Kasane, Nata, Masunga, Selibe Phikwe, Serowe)

REQUIREMENTS

BGCSE Driver’s License License in operation of Crane/Earth moving equipment will be an added advantage Direct entry

10. National Grid Controller(Gaborone)

REQUIREMENTS

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Must be Senior Authorized for internal candidates. At least 2 years post qualification experience. Experience in a power system operations environment will be an added advantage.

11.Technician Substation Maintenance(Maun and Jwaneng)

REQUIREMENTS

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Must obtain Senior Authorization within six (6) months for internal candidates and twelve (12) months for external candidates. Must be registered with a recognized engineering professional body (ERB). Two (2) years’ experience in maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting in a High Voltage Environment.

12.System Controller(Francistown and Gaborone)

REQUIREMENTS

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Senior authorisation is compulsory for internal candidates. Drivers’ License would be an added advantage. At least two (2) years post qualification experience in power network operations.

13. Laboratory Analyst(Morupule)

REQUIREMENTS

A recognized certificate in Laboratory Technology/Science or equivalent. A valid Class B Driver’s license (Within 6 months of appointment). A minimum of one year post qualification experience in a Laboratory environment.

14. Control Room Technician(Morupule, Seronga, Matshelagabedi)

REQUIREMENTS

A recognized Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Must be Junior Authorised (within six months for internal candidates and 12 months for external candidates from the commencement of training). Must be registered with the Engineers Registration Board ( within 12 months of appointment). A valid Class B Driver’s license (within six months of appointment).

15. Mechanical Maintenance Artisan(Matshelagabedi)

REQUIREMENTS

A recognized National Craft Certificate (NCC) in Mechanical Maintenance Fitting or equivalent. Must be a Competent Person (within six months for internal candidates and 12 months for external candidates from the commencement of training). A valid Class B Drivers License (within six months of appointment)

16. Control Room Engineer(Morupule)

REQUIREMENTS

A recognized B.Eng/BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Should be a member of Botswana Engineering Registration Board. At least three years post qualification experience in a Power Plant environment of which one should have been at a supervisory level.

17. Senior Engineer Protection(Palapye)

REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Membership of a recognised professional engineering institution preferred. Five (5) years post qualification experience in the power environment, two (2) years of which will have been in power system protection.

18. Senior Engineer Transmission Projects(Gaborone)

REQUIREMENTS

Recognised Degree in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent. Membership of the Engineering Registration Board (ERB) is required. Additional management qualifications will be an added advantage. Five (5) years post qualification experience in the power environment, two (2) years of which will have been in project management in a power environment.

19. Engineer Metering & Energy Management(Palapye)

REQUIREMENTS

B. Eng. in Electrical Engineering or related qualification. Should be a standing member of a recognized professional engineering body. At least three (3) years post qualification in a power system operations environment. Attainment of Senior Authorization for operational purposes is a requirement.

20. Craftsman(Goodhope, Charleshill, Francistown, Nata, Selibe Phikwe, Maun)

REQUIREMENTS

BGCSE or equivalent and Trade Test B Recognized Linesman and or Cable Jointing Certificate Heavy Duty Driver’s License, PrDP and a License in operation of Crane/Earth moving equipment will be an added advantage.Two (2) years’ experience in cable jointing or line construction

21. Lines Foreman(Maun)

REQUIREMENTS

National Craft Certificate or equivalent and Recognised Live Line Certificate. At least five (5) years’ experience in High Voltage dead and live Line maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS
