Mitchell Drilling Botswana is a diverse drilling services Company dedicated to safe, efficient and innovative Drilling program delivery for mining projects It is run by seasoned Drill rig Operators, Geologists, Drill Rig Equipment Mechanics, Drill Safety Coordinators with extensive experience in management of drill contracts. The Company is currently looking to fill the following positions to be based in Botswana.

DRILL RIG DEEP HOLE SPECIALIST

A successful candidate will be competent and experienced in supervising, maraging a range of high risk deep hole drilling. A sound knowledge of Deep Kimberlite and Country Rock Diamond Core Drilling. Knowledge of Diamond Dnlling Surface Core Methods, Reverse Circulation Drilling Methods, Deep Hole Drilling Methods. Mud rotation operator – LDD, Large diameter drilling a must.Candidates must be able to drill up to 5000m or more.

REQUIREMENTS

• All candidates must possess a Core Drilling Certificate issued by an internationally recognised institute plus traceable references.
• Proven track record in project management of Large drilling projects in different environments is a must
• A minimum or equivalent of a Drill Supervisor’s Certificate.Christensen CS14 Certificate, or an Advanced Diploma in Drilling Management

In order to fulfil our obligations to our current drill programmes in Botswana, all candidates should have at least 10 years’ experience with the technical, mechanical, administrative, drilling, and operational requirements and logistics of large drilling field camps in remote locations. A sound knowledge of drilling equipment such as Sandvik UDR 1500 Drill Rigs is a must.

All candidates must have a sound knowledge of Diamond Drilling Surface Core Methods, Reverse Circulation Drilling Methods, Deep Hole Drilling Methods, Mud rotation operator – LDD, Large diameter drilling a must.
