ACCOUNTS OFFICER

Salary Scale: C4/3 (127,392.00 up to 151,452.00 per annum)

Qualifications:

-A minimum of Diploma in Accounting or equivalent plus relevant work experience in Accounting.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB.

-Responsible for all accounting work in the organisation.

DUTIES:

1. Reconciling client statements and invoices with records of receipts of goods or services.
2. Monitoring the bank current account and arranging for transfers when required.
3. Assisting in the preparation of the monthly payroll
4. Batching up cheques and foreign payments and process them by way of computer input
5. Preparation of journal vouchers
6. Arranging payment of invoices from creditors
7. Check computer batches and do corrections
8. Reconcile bank statements and other accounts
9. Monitor staff loans
10. Batching up cheques and foreign payments
11. Writing up the cheque analysis register
12. Check cash from time to time
13. Prepare payroll
14. Undertakes any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
