SENIOR LECTURER II (MIDWIFERY)

Salary Scale: D4 (P208, 560.00 up to P229. 884.00) per annum.

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing Education or any relevant qualification and Diploma in Midwifery. Masters in Midwifery will be an added advantage from a recognised institution.

Experience: Candidates should have served a minimum of six (6) years post qualification preferably in Maternal Child Health settings/Maternity Wards or served as a Lecturer in a comparable institution. Computer literacy will be an added advantage.

Main purpose of the Job:

To prepare midwives who will deliver maternity care services independently in a variety of settings.

Duties:

-Prepares teaching schedules for both midwifery theory and practice

-Assesses clinical area for placement and supervision of students

-Set and marks tests and projects for continuous assessment of students

-Assumes full responsibility and accountability while supervising students in the clinical areas, observing ethical standards for practice care.
