This role is responsible for performing various advanced accounting functions. The role is accountable for activities such as accounts receivable, fixed assets, Meter Reading and Billing, financial transaction posting, financial reporting and procurement.
The incumbent is also responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with Internal Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for consolidation at Corporate level.
This role is involved in the day-to-day financial activities of a Business Centre and has a dotted reporting line to the Head Office Senior Financial Controller for alignment in application of practice at WUC.

- Business Centre Sustainable Gross profit margin
- Business Centre Sustainable Operating profit margin
- Timeous delivery of accurate Financial Reports
- Effective Cash Flow Forecasting
- Fixed Assets Policies and Procedures
- Consolidated Business Centre inventory valuation report
- Business Centre Adherence to Credit Control Policy
- Timeous processing of receipts, Business Centre Debtor Reconciliations
- Meter Reading and Billing Efficiency
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or AAT
- Certification: Professional part qualification CIMA, ACCA, BICA, CPA, CFA
- Five (5) years technical experience in finance, processing of accounts in a similar sized organisation in a computerised accounting environment, with progressively increased responsibility
- Three (3) years supervisory experience or assisting with management of an accounting team

Remuneration
Salary : An attractive Salary Package
Commensurate to the market
Leave : 30 working days per annum
Gratuity : 25% gratuity payment at the
end of contract
Group Life Assurance (24-hour coverage)
50% paid by the Corporation towards Medical Aid
