FINANCE MANAGER

URGENTLY REQUIRED:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of a Finance Manager for a large expanding distributor/retail fran­chise chain operations. As a key member of the executive management team, the incumbent will report directly to the group managing director and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the group.

KEY REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications and experience

• Professional qualification a must – either ACCA/CIMA or CA. Must be registered with BICA.
• All respondents to be highly computer literate and conversant with the latest audit/accounting soft wares in use like Case ware and Pastel Partner.
• Minimum 6 – 8 years of industry experience, preferably in a large group at a senior management position.
• Also high proficiency in use and interrogation of retail POS systems such as ULTISALES and SAGE EVOLUTION. Advanced Microsoft Excel a key necessity as well as ability to work with large volumes of data and extraction of meaningful analyses there from.

• Provide leadership in the development of the group through continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives.
• Ensure credibility of finance function by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
• Direct and oversee all aspects of the financial and accounting functions of the group.
• Establish and maintain strong relationship with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
• Ensure effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory laws and rules of financial and tax reporting.
• Understand and mitigate key elements of the groups the group’s risk profile.
• Maintain relationships with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
• Maintain relationships with advisors, lawyers and other professionals.
• Maintain banking relationships.
