System Engineer – Regional Support wanted at Southern Business Solutions

Southern Business Solutions a leading supplier of Information Technology solutions in Botswana is looking to maintain its position by recruiting a senior Systems Engineer to support its operations in the SADC region. The successful candidate will be based in Gaborone.

System Engineer – Regional Support

Candidates should:

• be a degree holder and have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Hardware and Software support and have Dell EMC, IBM and VMware certifications.
• have strong working knowledge of IBM Power virtualisation technologies.
• have implementation & support experience of IBM Security’ products

Experience in the following IT environments and relevant certifications would be an added advantage

• Storage and SAN Solutions (Dell EMC and IBM)
• SUSE Linux Certification
• Project Management
• IBM AIX Administration and Support
• IBM High Availability for AIX-Technical Support and Administration
• IBM Spectrum Protect & Spectrum Protect Plus
• VMware Certified Professional
• Dell EMC Data Domain Implementation and Support
• IT Disaster Recovery Implementations and Support
• IBM Security product knowledge and implementation
• Dell EMC Technology Architect certification
• Dell EMC RecoverPoint experience
• ITIL certification

The successful candidate will be required to travel extensively within the SADC region and must be a registered professional member of Engineers Registration Board of Botswana.
