are responsible for enforcing compliance with established SHEC Standards and procedures, therefore you must be familiar with the Mining Safety, Health and Environment requirements.

The positions are based at the Mine site between Maun and Sehithwa, therefore, you must have the interest and ability to work in remote regions in a context of a multicultural work environment While developing the first mechanised mine in Botswana, we offer a

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

Performs maintenance and repair work of the water and wastewater treatment facilities and systems.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for

• Monitoring the performance of all equipment, gauges and charts in the treatment plant and pump stations, recording statistical data concerning plant operations; maintaining, operating, repairing and replacing equipment as necessary, maintaining accurate records of analysis and test results, evaluating data and writing reports as required.
• Operating, maintaining and repairing malfunctions at the wastewater treatment plant, repairing gauges, pumps, filters and other controls and equipment.
• Performing quality control tests on waste water, evaluating procedures and results for accuracy and determining appropriate methods.
• Assuring that the plant operates within required standards.
• Performing routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR

EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:

• BGCSE Certificate
• 5 years’ experience related to construction, maintenance and repair.
• Working knowledge of equipment, facilities, materials, methods and procedures used in wastewater treatment plant maintenance and operation activities.
• Basic Skill in operation of some of the listed tools and equipment.
