PLANT OPERATOR wanted at Mupane Gold Mine

The Mupane gold mine is located approximately 50 kilometres by road from Francistown in northeastern Botswana In continuous operation since 2005, MGM has recently increased the operational life of mine and exploration activities are ongoing to determine if there are further opportunities to develop additional resources.

The company invites applications for the following positions:-

PLANT OPERATOR

Reporting to the Shift Foreman, an applicant should possess BGCSE certificate coupled with a minimum of five (5) years work experience which must be relevant to the post applying for in a mining environment.

Specific requirements include:

• Operating various areas of the processing plant.
• Performing operational tasks as per company safe operating procedures.
• Troubleshooting in the process plant.
• Liaising with the maintenance team in ensuring that tasks are completed timeously.
• Assistance within all processing operations as per shift supervisors’ instructions and advises.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Formal plant training will be an added advantage

Successful candidates should have basic mathematical skills to a level of averages and percentages and an ability to gain proficiency in relevant Process Control Operating Systems and should be familiar with the use of hand tools
