II. PURPOSE OF POSITION
To assist Shelter Manager organize and maintain an orderly residence and promote the welfare of clients.
III. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Enforces the BGBVC shelter rules with residents in a restorative manner
• Compile activity reports
• Supervises all physical aspects, including cleaning, repairs and maintenance of the shelter.
• Reports on care and support activities
• Ensures a safe and clean environment is provided for the residents
• Ensure availability of adequate supplies of cleaning, food and toiletries at all times, and replenish when necessary.
• Responds to emergencies and makes necessary contacts and referrals.
• Engages shelter residents in recreational activities.
• Ensures adherence to menu and timely meal preparations
• Participates in resource mobilization efforts.
• Undertakes any such duties as may be assigned by Supervisor

VI. PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Training Qualifications:
• Diploma in Social Work or related field
Relevant Experience:
• Basic first aid skills
