Qualifications:

Diploma in Operations & Logistics or related field

Responsibilities:

• Manages and Coordinates the day to day activities of the business, by ensuring that the business runs smoothly.

• Coordinates activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements.

• Make sure the transport operation meets its performance and safety targets, monitoring it and reporting to Senior Management.

• Writes reports and present options and recommendations to senior management.

• Advise on policy and strategic developments and examine business decisions (pricing policy, level of service provision, timetable changes) to assess their impact on customers.

• Ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance with Botswana Laws and regulations particularly relating to safety.

• Meet passengers and customers to deal with complaints and areas of concern.

• Analyze results of surveys on passenger/customer satisfaction.

• Make sure that transport services are available to passengers/customers.

• Communicates with all relevant employees to ensure delivery times are met.

• Plans, schedules, and reviews workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis.

• Ensure that the fleet is well maintained and that all permits are renewed on time and ensuring all cars have roadworthiness documentation.

• Should have a knowledge and understanding of the local transport industry, DRTS regulations etc

Job requirements:

• Willing to work extended hours

• Ability to identify risks and possible solutions

• Should have supervisory skills

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Should have organizing, planning and problem solving skills

• Solid time management skills

• Candidate should be a resident of Botswana

• Candidate should have a valid driver’s license

• PRDP an added advantage
