Taxation – Manager, Transfer Pricing wanted at Grant Thornton Botswana

Responsibilities include

Consulting and preparing of transfer pricing documentation through conducting research, reviews and responding to BURS queries/audits. Ensure detailed work programmes are prepared for each assignment – along with key deadlines – and review the same to ensure that client expectations and overall assignment objectives are established in order to achieve efficiency and effectiveness and where required in consultation with Director/ Partner. Attend to Tax investigations/BURS audits or TP conflict resolutions, liaising with clients, partners and BURS. Supervise; guide and mentor executives/staff and be actively involved in their development and growth. Assist in developing thought leadership articles on Transfer Pricing in consultation with the Director/Partner and actively involve in business development activities including preparation of proposals / RFPs. The individual selected will be reporting to Director/Partner in charge of taxation services.

Qualification and experience

Candidate should have a professional qualification like BICA/CA/ACCA/CIMA/ICZA or any equivalent qualification or a Master’s Degree supplemented by any advance certifications in Transfer Pricing with a minimum 3 -7 years relevant experience. Additional qualifications or certifications in tax would be an added advantage.

Competencies candidate must have

Prior experience in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation, Knowledge and understanding of the OECD guidelines and principles, Conducting transfer pricing advisory services, working knowledge of Botswana tax and VAT law; knowledge of international tax practices and laws, excellent skills in interpretation of legislation & regulations are essential requirements. The candidates should also have excellent communication and presentation skills , analytical capabilities. Candidate should also have a proven track record of outstanding performance and display high level to people management and business skills, etc. Candidate should have published articles in his/her areas of work. Prior working in a CA firm handling the above function or with revenue authority would also be considered as an added advantage.
