BUSINESS ARCHITECT SPECIALIST – DI X 1

Applications are invited from talented, decisive and self-driven qualified citizens of Botswana to fill the above vacancy tenable at the Ministry of Transport and Communications on 24-36 months contract.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To analyze the business objectives and operation of all Ministries and Independent Department through the aid of busmess analysis frameworks and related networks.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Interpret Government Online Services policies for various stakeholders.
• Address customer queries and concerns on business architect issues.
• Develop and implement a business architecture strategy for public agencies.
• Identify and keep records of strategic business goals that provide traceability of public agencies to ensure monitoring of progress towards achieving them.
• Identify and categorize busmess functions of Ministries and Departments as customer facing, supplier related, business execution and management function to allow effective use of ICTs in support business objectives.
• Identify and document data flows between public agencies in order to inform the deployment of ICTs that effectively drive business objectives.
• Prepare progress update report on initiatives that relates to business architect function for management.
• Undertake any other related duties as may be assigned by management.
• Design or Computer Engineering. Masters in Science in any one of the above will be an added advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Systems, Telecommunication Engineering or System

EXPERIENCE: At Least 12 years’ experience in system design environment, 2 of which should have been in managing small to medium sized teams in system design environment.

SALARY SCALE: DI (P334, 188 – P368. 544) per annum.

LEAVE: 30 Working days per annum

• Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme with the Botswana Public Officers Medical Aid Scheme (BPOMAS), Government contributes 50% and employee pays 50%.
