MANAGER, COMPLIANCE RISK

Reporting to the Head of Risk and dotted Line to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and enhancing of compliance policies, procedures and controls of the Corporation, in line with relevant national statutory requirements, best practice and Regulations. You will also be responsible for conducting risks assessments and analysis of all identified compliance risks as well as tracking instances of non compliance and carrying out investigations, following compliance violations with respective business unit managers until resolved.

You will play an active role in developing, implementing and managing the BDC AML Programme, policies and processes in compliance to the relevant national statutory bodies such FIA and NBFIRA Acts. You will also be expected to conduct due diligence on investors to ensure that they are compliant with AML/CFT requirements as well as regularly assess AML/CTF mechanisms to ensure they are adequate and effective to address any change in ML/TF trends.

You will play an active role in ensuring the timeous reporting of suspicious transactions to regulators, as well as resolve instances of non-compliance with respective business units. In collaboration with the Internal Audit Department, you will also be expected to attend to all audit findings and ensure closure as well as prepare detailed compliance and AML reports on areas reviewed, findings and recommend appropriate measures for improvement to the Board and Executive Management. To succeed in this role, you must be a collaborator with integrity, highly enterprising and most importantly, focused on delivering results.

You must have any Bachelor’s degree in related fields with 3 years experience at a managerial role in a risk, and compliance environment. Experience in conducting risk assessments is a must, with experience in Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, preferably within the financial services industry gained in compliance environment, governance, or group assurance at a Bank, or Investment Company, or any relevant financial services institution would be an added advantage as well as Membership of a professional Risk or Compliance body.
