VACANCY: FINANCIAL CONTROLLER: COST ACCOUNTING AND TREASURY X1 (HEAD OFFICE)

Position Purpose

This role is responsible for the planning and administration of WUC’s banking relationships, cash management and investment programs. It establishes policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with all state, and local, requirements and regulations It also recommends, develops, and implements short and long-range cash and investment strategies.

It also advises the Corporation’s management team on the most appropriate course of action based on the cost efficiency and capability of WUC. It is also responsible for budgeting, cost management, performance evaluation and asset management for the entire corporation

Outputs and Measures

• WUC Financial Plan
• Monthly Management Accounts
• Financial Reports
• Financial Efficiency Reports (Gross Profit Ratio. Cost to Income Ratio etc.)

• Customer Pricing Efficiency and Sustainability
• Process Operations Efficiency (time to complete budgets, reduced error rate, reduced rework, purchase price variance)
• Risk and Compliance (limited audit exceptions/risks)
• Master Data Accuracy

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce.

Finance or Accounting or AAT

• Professional Part Qualification CIMA. ACCA. CPA or CFA is an added advantage
• Five (5) years’ experience in treasury, finance, accounting or related field, with progressively increased responsibility
• Experience in developing, controlling, and administering cash management and investment programs and financial accounting experience related to banking and investments.
• Two (2) years supervisory experience or assisting team with management of cost accounting and treasury
• Valid driver s license is an added advantage

Remuneration

Salary: An attractive Salary Package Commensurate to the market

Leave: 30 working days per annum

Pension: A Contributory Pension Scheme (16.5% WUC and 4% Employee)
