LIGHT DUTY DRIVER (General WASTE)

• The main role of this position is to safely operate a Light-duty Truck to perform assigned duties on General Waste collection and disposal.

RESPONSIBILITIES ;

• Picking up waste from each customer site scheduled for the day.
• Picking up, transporting and offloading waste safely according to all local rules and regulations.
• Check truck for any maintenance that may need to be performed on assigned truck prior to leaving or closing for the day.
• Managing assigned routes to ensure customers’ waste is picked up in a timely and accurate manner.

REQUIREMENTS;

• Clean Valid Class B and PRDP goods (strictly) Licenses.
• A minimum of JC Certificate.
• 2 or more years Experience in a Waste Management Environment.
• Computer proficiency including MS Office (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) will be an advantage.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE;

• Knowledge of basic health/waste management safety rules and regulations.
• Willingness to work long hours.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
• Team player and ability to cope with pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Time management skills.
