VACANCY: EXECUTIVE CHEF

Executive Chef needed for a high-end restaurant located in the CBD area. Zambezi Centre Restaurant is looking fora highly motivated and innovative culinary professional to oversee the operational management of the kitchen. The ideal candidate should be proactive, with a strong management style and proven working experience in a similar position.

The incumbent will be responsible for:

• Inducting, training and building a strong professional restaurant team
• Developing exciting menus in line with company standards
• To supervise, direct and participate in food preparation and culinary activities
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Develop positive relations through proactive interaction with customers, team members and suppliers
• Managing all kitchen operations to the expectation and satisfaction of customers

Minimum Requirements:

• Prior experience as an Executive Chef of no less than 15 years in a first-class property – must have traceable references
• Excellent leadership skills
• A creative approach to the production of high-quality food
• Ability to build positive business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Sound awareness of menu planning and development
